THE GREAT APOSTASY – DECEIVING DOCTRINES

There are various religious viewpoints based on the misconception that the church, or the congregation, will be the bride of the Lamb and that the rapture, will occur prior to the great tribulation.

This deceptive doctrine persisted through the ages when the followers were illiterate and all these various or devious doctrines were carried-over verbally by prophecies and teachings to this day, as if it was the truth.

The major confessing Christian churches and especially the Charismatic or Pentecostal denominations in general, believe and proclaim this fallacy, that the rapture will take place prior to the “great tribulation”.

This deceiving lie has been long standing, even before these many different latter-day churches and denominations were established!

As early as 1918, this misleading lie was printed as a dispensational truth and as such accepted, but it remains a lie.

For if this deceiving doctrine was true, then the prophecies of our Lord Jesus and the prophets of the Bible are in contradiction and not true, and our faith in the resurrection, will be of no avail!

Hence, it is revealed from above and proved to be a lie, and comes from the father of lies, namely Satan.

Peter revealed: “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies”...“And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.” (2 Peter 2: 1 - 2)

Already, in the time of the apostles of our Lord, false preachers existed and these false preachers and teachers have persisted with their lies, unrestrained amongst us, unto this day.

They are influenced by their own emotional instability, submitted and giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of end-time demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, whereby they pollute, with their ideologies, the minds of those who are weak in faith.

By proclaiming their devious doctrines through the image of television and computer-networks, they have caused many saints to refrain from meeting in worship and to fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, in Spirit and in Truth. They prefer to idolise and worship the image of the beast! (Matt. 18: 20)

Hence, the great falling away, as many weak souls departs from the faith.

However it is expected from these confessing Christian churches and denominations “….which is the church of the Living GOD “to be” the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:” (1 Tim. 3: 15-16)

There rests an obligation in this regard on every confessing Christian minister of the gospel.

These preachers and teachers, in general, carry a great responsibility and accountability to teach the flock of the Lord correctly.   (Ezek. 34)

“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many”. (Matt. 24: 11)

NB! In what is revealed above, no reflection is made on the true servants of GOD and of our Lord Jesus Christ; who said “…and where I am, there My servant will be also…” (John. 12: 26)

A healthy growth in the Church is achievable only, if the presence of the Holy Spirit of GOD, with the diversity of spiritual gifts is manifestly active! Vanity though, prevents the presence of the Holy Spirit

And should not be allowed in the congregation!

A healthy congregation is measured in terms of unity in the body of Christ and members individually, when the least of His most humble saints, are allowed the freedom to testify with reference to their Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ!
